Kevin came to know the Lord while a student at Ohio University. Soon he realized that God was calling him to full time ministry. Drawing on his experiences studying abroad in both Germany and Austria, Kevin knew that he wanted to return to Europe to work in ministry.

In 2007, Kevin completed a Masters of Arts in Religion at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. His education, as well as his early experiences in ministry, have fueled a passion for evangelism and life-on-life discipleship.

Kevin has a deep passion for the game of baseball, which creates one downside to their impending move to Germany. Along with baseball, Kevin enjoys spending his free time lounging in cafes reading fiction, history, and theology. He is also a certified SCUBA diver, which him and his dad enjoy together.

Kathi grew up in a Christian home, in which she was brought up with a deep faith in Jesus. While attending Ohio University, Kathi developed a love for women's leadership and discipleship. Even before she and Kevin began dating, she knew that she would be serving God full time in Europe.

In 2005, Kathi completed her Masters of Arts in Counseling Ministries at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She desires to use these skills and gifts to minister to women and reach out to hurting and marginalized people.

Growing up in rural Ohio has given Kathi a great appreciation for the outdoors, where she really enjoys observing nature. Kathi obtained her Bachelor's degree in Music Performance, so singing is an important part of her life, but she also loves reading, cooking, and being generally artsy. One of her absolute favorite things to do is spend time with family and friends and to enjoy laughter together.

Kevin and Kathi met while undergraduate students at Ohio University. However, their relationship never progressed beyond friendship. It wasn't until Kathi and Kevin were reunited as graduate students at Trinity that they began dating. Shortly after their romantic relationship began they were engaged. They finally were wed on June 11, 2005 in Kathi's hometown of Dellroy, Ohio.
